What a mini camera for home is good for

  • holidays and business trips - check on your home remotely
  • pets - a pet camera shows you what your dog or cat is doing while you are at work
  • children and elderly parents - a quick look to see that everything is fine at home
  • rental flat or holiday cottage - an alert when someone moves around the room

How to choose

  • 2.4 GHz WiFi - the cameras connect to your home WiFi on the 2.4 GHz band. If your router uses one name for both bands, switch off 5 GHz for a moment while pairing.
  • Resolution - Full HD is enough for everyday monitoring, 4K shows more detail.
  • Night vision - IR LEDs record even in the dark.
  • Power - a camera in an alarm clock, lamp or charger runs non-stop from the mains, a battery camera can go anywhere.
  • Recording - to a microSD card, on motion or continuously.

Keep in mind

You may use the camera to watch your own home. If someone else lives or works there (a tenant, nanny or cleaner), they must know about the camera. Never point it into a bathroom, toilet or someone else's bedroom, and do not film your neighbours.
