Then the pixels may not change on the image and the camera may stop recording. The camera can record even after the engine is turned off, but it depends on whether you have the car ignition in the vehicle also powered after the engine is turned off. You only need to purchase a memory card for the camera. Everything else is included in the package. An external camera can be connected to the front (main) camera using the Jack input on its side near the power button. The cable for powering the camera from the car cigarette lighter is then connected to the mini USB port.
